JaNae Kinikin is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who enjoys helping people improve their eating habits one small step at a time to achieve a healthier lifestyle. She understands that her clients know themselves the best and just need support, guidance, and education to make healthier choices. Food is a necessary (and enjoyable!) part of life and should not be associated with guilt of any kind. She is interested in helping people nourish their bodies using the concept of gentle nutrition, meaning that all foods fit, but with an emphasis on choosing nutritious foods most of the time with sweets and other delicious entities thrown in on occasion.
JaNae has a Master’s degree in Nutrition from the University of Utah and has worked in long-term care and as a dietitian in private practice. She has completed ongoing education in the areas of intuitive eating and long-term care nutrition. Prior to going back to school to become a dietitian, she worked as an academic science librarian for 15 years. She is a life-long learner and loves research, especially in any area of nutrition.
JaNae enjoys reading, working in her yard, long walks, and just hanging out at home with her husband, Tim, and two adorable dogs, a long-haired dachshund named Baby and an Italian Spinone named Gia. She loves to bake, especially homemade bread and English scones, and a perfect day would start at a tea shop with a scone with raspberry jam & clotted cream and a cup of English Breakfast tea.
